In wrapping up Satire today we reviewed two articles; one about the sad demise of Blockbuster, and another the great debate as to whether or not “leggings are pants”. To show analysis of SATIRE the students completed a Rhetorical Analysis Essay, article excerpt from The Onion from the AP Lang Exam. To further their understanding and analysis they are reading Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” in their Prose Models textbooks (pgs 545-552) and completing the following writing assignment:
