Straight from the Horse’s Mouth is the Student Magazine for Mandarin High School’s Journalism Program. This student-created publication is planned, written, designed, and edited by the 2026-2027 staff; we are so proud to share the voice of the student body and events on and off the campus of MHS.
As we step into the third year of running Straight from the Horse’s Mouth, I am so excited to see how this magazine continues to evolve. Last year was a full transformation, with necessary frameworks being made. Additions like the style guide and a step-by-step schedule to stay on top of publishing have made this magazine something I’m truly proud of. I’ve grown such a love for writing and design through this publication and am excited to see how much more SFTHM can bloom.
