We started our official discussion of the SAT in class today as this test is very important for these College Bound Juniors! It is recommended that they take a Fall SAT (Rec. Dec) as well as one in the Spring (Mar/Apr) to find their best COMPOSITE SCORE. The Composite Score is their best Read/Writing/Math Score matched up together. It is recommended that they take one ACT, typically in Jan or Feb. For more information on the requirements and expectations of these test, please review the following links:

We also discussed the details for the AM History List Names to Know, this “rolodex” of people you should know in your head for the AP Lang Argumentation Prompt as well as for reference on the APUSH Exam at the end of the year. This list may be handwritten (recommended) or typed (must be uploaded to Turnitin.com by 11/4) and should be a very BASIC understanding of WHO the person was, WHEN they lived and WHAT made their life significant. 50 Words max!
