Today was the official start of the SYNTHESIS ESSAY style, the intro to Question 1 on the AP Lang Exam May 11th. Students saw that this is very similar to the Research Paper Process and not unlike the DBQs from APUSH. They reviewed the Prompt “Politics & the Television;” starting the planning process for this essay as a group.

If you were absent, please read the sources Synthesis-Television and Presidential Elections and take 1 page of notes as to the information found in the sources and how you would use it in an essay if you needed to write the essay.  Additionally, please review and either print, or take notes, on PPT about the Synthesis Essays and Prompt Analysis.
