As we return from Spring Break the students completed a “Character Meet & Greet” Socratic Seminar where they represented different characters in the novel. As we shared the discussion of the book they responded as the characters and then expanded as to who the actual person was represented in Orwell’s satirical work Animal Farm.
We will be continuing to reference back to Animal Farm as they move into the reading of 1984 (print or e-reader copies of 1984 due by Mon, pdf for e-download is attached to the title) and comparing these 2 pieces and their political commentary.
