Class started today working in pairs analyzing prompts from the GP Exam that can be supported with details from Animal Farm as well as Orwell’s 1984 (copies due Monday!). The Novels that we read in class are not just to build our knowledge of the Literary Canon, but it also helps to prepare for the FSA Reading (4/11) and the AICE General Paper Exam (5/3). These test dates are quickly approaching, but the support and analysis of our in class novels help the students to build supported arguments and decipher complex texts.
After the Vocab 13-15 Review Quiz, they continued to build on the foundations of proper research that we have been working on since the Cultural Project in December. The students worked in 2-4 person groups researching aspects of Animal Farm and the different Political structures that influence Orwell’s writings:
They worked for 30-45 minutes in the class and will be presenting them in class Monday & Tuesday.

- 4/4-5: 1984 Copies due (paper or e-reader copy-not on your phone), presentations of group cards with citations, Annotated Articles for the 1st Discursive Writing given in class (please read & take notes on the articles HERE.)
