Today they reviewed in groups their Final AP Objective for the year, students were also sent home with their portfolios to review over the weekend in preparation for the exam, reflect on things like:
- What types of notes are you frequently getting on returned essays? How can you fix those issues and move up a level?
- What is your strongest essay style? What are you doing well in that essay that you could apply to another?
- What are you struggling on for the AP Objective Sections (MC), Author’s Purpose, Main Idea, Figurative Language?
Thesis Statement Reminders:
- ONE Sentence
- Takes a Sides
- Shows that you have considered both sides of the argument
- Gives specific details (but not not just in a list at the end of the thesis statement)
- Uses Transitional phrases to connnect ideas
Reminders:
- Final Achieve 3000 are due this week by FRIDAY! If you have not done 4 already this 9-weeks you MAY DO 2 this week as the Level sets begin on Monday. DO NOT DO ACHIEVE NEXT WEEK!
- 5/6: APUSH Exam Day, we will be doing additional Portfolio reviews in class that day to try and ramp up your writing one more level
