#HOCO WEEK Begins, Mathlete vs. Athlete!
AP Lang-Today they looked at the Diction, Syntax, & Tone in “The Jungle,” breaking it down in groups and then discussing as a class in preparation for their 1st Rhetorical Analysis Paragraph writing on Wednesday, passage was sent home today for review.

Eng 3 Honors-Today they completed the SAT QOTD #4, journals will be checked when we get to 5. Additionally, they reviewed through the their responses for the UPFront Magazine quiz and then presented the discussion questions, practicing proper support for their responses (monster stamped for completion-in prep for next Notebook check). In preparation for the next Socratic Seminar they added Costa’s Levels of Questioning to their Novel Studies section of their Interactive Notebook.

HL-Part 3 BWHTW Journals & Quiz Friday (If you will be OUT Friday, please have this to submit WEDNESDAY & plan to take the Quiz Wednesday during lunch or after school.) ACHIEVE Week 6 due tomorrow!
AICE GP-Today they completed their 1st Timed Writing ROUGH DRAFT (this means there will be editing and revision before final submission). Additionally, they completed their Part 2 Quiz for TOAFK, they should be starting Part 3. Any students earning less than 1/2 credit on this quiz can complete the study guide questions on the TOAFK link to increase their grade to a 60%, must be uploaded to Turnitin.com NO LATER THAN Sunday 10/9 @11:59pm, ALL questions must have specific concrete evidence from the novel (quotes), any issues with plagiarism will result in a referral. Make sure you are ANNOTATING! Be sure to keep up with CHARACTER CARDS!! This is how to learn the voice of the characters!
