AP Lang-Today we reviewed for the PSAT, taken tomorrow for all 10th & 11th graders, 11th grade can qualify for NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS based on their scores! Yeah college $$$! Additionally we previewed their 1st Official Argument Prompt “Polite Speech” by viewing the following 2 commercials:
Then they annotated their prompts discussing proper examples for the readings (novels of literary merit), experiences (such as things you’ve learned in other classes, the debate, etc), and observations (things that YOU specifically have seen/done). This is the last essay for the 9-weeks as next class they have their final Boy Who Harnessed the Wind Socratic Seminar & Journals due.

English 3 Honors-today they completed the final Boy Who Harnessed the Wind Socratic Seminar, Class has been very lenient this 9-weeks as to late work, this is an Honors class and late work will no longer be accepted in the 2nd Qtr. Please make sure you are keeping track of your calendars as to when assignments are due.

AICE GP 8B-Another wonderful set of presentations today for our “Knights of the Square Room” Banquet, thank you to all who brought treats and I loved getting to see all of the creativity you put into your shields!
