AP Lang-Today the students reviewed their Rough Drafts of their Research Papers, I am concerned as some students did not have a Works Cited with the Reasearch Paper and thus did not earn the full points for something that was a COMPLETION GRADE. Students Must be following all directions, they have the expectations in their spiral notebooks, I was kind and gave 1/2 credit to the ones withour a Works Cited for this. IT MUST BE IN THE SAME DOCUMENT for the Final Copy or students will earn a 0 for 200 for this 9-weeks. Final Copy of the Research Paper is due 2/16, printed copy to class that has ALREADY been submitted to Turnitin.com.
Please review the Quotes-notes if you need help on your short or long quotes, I will be after school Th/Fri this week to help those who want me to review a paragraph or 2 of the paper.
Students looked over the Thank You for Arguing Prezi sample pages, great work so far Slide Chapters 7 & 12! I look forward to all presentations for the basic Argument and Counter Argument tomorrow. Advanced Argument is due Friday.

English 3 Honors-Today they submitted Vocab 7-9 Review Unit as well as completed the missed Vocab 9 Quiz from my absence last Thursday. In their novel groups today they started their group Prezi for the Dystopian Novel Project. They should be completing the group Novel Data Sheet as they read and meet as a group. One copy will need to be submitted on March 6-7 for the groups notes to be copied for the class packet.

For next class the groups should have their 1st 2-3 slide completed, answering the following questions:
- The Author of your novel
- What are their significant other writings?
- When did they live?
- What were their political views?
- The Historical Time Period of your novel
- What was happening in the world politically?
- What was the progress of technology?
- How were moral values changing?
- Does your book fall into a particular -ism (i.e. Communism, etc??)

AICE GP 8B-Today the students completed their 3rd Argument Writing Practice writing about the Cost of College. They will complete a Peer Review (Due Sunday) on Turnitin.com of their Cost of College Essays, then they will review in class Monday/Tuesday 3 writing samples and will decide as to what they will be submitted for their final Portfolios to me.
