AICE GP-Today the students reviewed their 3 Argumentative Writings, the FSA Leadership Prompt, the Debate Pro/Con Essay, & the AP “Cost of College” Prompt. These 3 essays were reviewed using the AICE Argumentative Analysis Essay Chart so they can track the formation of their thesis statements, whether they are using the appropriate evidence, what are the common notes that are coming back on reviews (ex: needs seamless Transitions) so they can work to improve thier writing for the FINAL COPIES Due Sunday 2/19. They will pick ONE of the 3 essays to re-work and submit to Turnitin.com for a grade. This is the culmination of our preparation for the FSA Writes at the end of the month.

Freewrite
Freewrite for ten minutes on the topic of love versus hate (THIS SHOULD BE APPROX 3/4 of a Page!!). Consider the following questions:
- What kinds of images (try to be as specific as you can, classical art, etc)
- and phrases represent these (what are some of the potential cliches?)
- two ideas to you? (compare & contrast #1 & #2)
- Which people (be specific, not “mom & dad”)
- and institutions embody love (Name some, maybe a charity or non-profit or a law)
- and hate, (see #5)
- and how have they influenced our world (3-5 Years!)? CURRENT EVENTS!!!
English 3 Honors-Today the students worked on their group Prezi adding in the Character Casting (how they see the characters of their novel) and a brief description of them. This should NOT be a summary from Sparknotes or any other type website nor should the characters be cast from the films of the novels. How does YOUR Group See this character?
