AICE GP-Today all students had the opportnity to hole punch their 5×8 cards for the Lit Analysis Study, as well as some time to continue labeling the Name/Definition/Example Set up (See Lit Card Link Above).
HOD Vocabulary-Students that had completed the 1st 3-pages of the Vocab had the 3rd page stamped, this was a 1.2 way check in to see if students are completing AS THEY ARE READING, this should not be done as an afterthought. Vocab will be on the Part 1 Quiz on Friday, actual Packet Collection will be Tuesday next week (weather permitting).

Discussion of pre-concieved notions that we may have as to some of the themes in the novel (2A Notes above) as well as I read through the 1st few pages of the novel giving notes as I went.
Reminder! Lit Card 2 due this week, please check grade portal, if you currently have a 1 listed for Lit Card 1 that means that your analysis needs revision and I HIGHLY suggest coming to Lit Card Thursday tomorrow to work on this! Card Grading notes:

- Paragraph 1: Say the Name of the novel, SPECIFICALLY address the scene in the novel, character names, setting, etc.
- Paragraph 2: Author’s use of (Fill in device here) is to show/explain/demonstrate, etc and then discuss the DEEPER meaning of the device, if it is just a retelling of what is going on or a Summary, that’s NOT it!
