AP Lang-Today was our 1st day in prepping for the Argument Essay on the AP Exam, discussing Current Events and how the evidence for this essay will come from their mental resources.


Additionally, in reviewing their Student Surveys they discussed the struggle of Reading and Vocabulary so they completed the Baseline assessment today tracking their confidence in these words:

HW: for the weekend they should be wrapping up Part 2 of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, journaling & annotating as they read; this will be collected Monday as the test for this section.
English 3 & Honors–SUMMER READING RETAKE DAY!! Today many completed their retakes for the summer reading tests, they are currently being graded.
In Honors today we reviewed the M6ET Body Paragraph for building essays as a review for those taking the FSA Writes Retakes next week as well as a foundation for their essay writing this year. (8th Period needs to add these notes to the handout give as their exit ticket, I will look for this next class.)
The body paragraphs are building off of the Thesis practice we did in class Tuesday:

8th Period was given time to make up/complete missing items due to the storm, anything not completed is per student choices.
HW BOTH E3 & Honors–finishing the UPFRONT Article reading/ notes if you did not complete it in class, check grade portal, ANYTHING not completed on it can be done by 2pm Friday for Partial Credit!! Don’t just leave a 0 sitting there!
