Welcome to Speech 1!
In this course we will be learning the Art of Public Speaking, but it is WAY more than that! This of how speech impacts our everyday life, from giving a presentation in a class, to getting psyched up by a coach, or even hearing an amazing monologue in a film. Speech is more than just talking, it’s not talking, it’s our tone of voice, finding pauses, using body language, & facial expressions. How we say, what we say, is just as important as what was said!
I know that many are nervous speaking before class, little hint, I am too! Also, this is my 1st year back teaching this class, and I look forward to making it fun and having something that is really VALUABLE to you in the future. 🙂

Many Jobs today require presentations, and all of them have an interview process, please fill out this form as a practice for if you were going to be going on a Job Interview.
Professional E-mailing
As we discussed in class, a lot of people are hoping that this class teaches them to be more prepared for the professional world. Most jobs, and other aspects of life in the future, will require you to use e-mail (maybe you are setting up a time to speak at a Ted Talk Conference)! Our 1st project will be attached to an e-mail as practice.
