AICE Day 30-Wrapping up Of Mice & Men

WMatrix Lenniee wrapped up our discussion of John Steinbeck’s classic American novel Of Mice & Men today with a fabulous Socratic Seminar discussing what we knew all along (Mrs. Reed gave spoilers in the 1st article) would happen; George shoots Lennie.  In knowing what was going to happen the whole way the students really were able toLennie Meme delve deeper into WHY the ending was inevitable. No matter how much they may have been attached to Lennie, this tragedy had to come to it’s inescapable end.

We will be transitioning into our reading of Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities on Thursday & Friday, students should have the GREEN COPY from our school library IN HAND for class as we will be reading through Chapters 1 & 2 as well as beginning their annotation process for this novel.  Active engagement with this novel is VITAL to the student’s understanding of this historical piece.
