Today we discussed the beginning of our Argumentation Unit (Essay 3 on the Exam), the foundation of ALL AP Essays is in the argument, whether they are using the Essay 1-Rhetorical Analysis elements in the passage to argue as the the purpose of the author towards their intended audience; or in Essay 3-Argumentation supporting their own original arguments supported by historical facts and their readings, or finally in Essay 1-Synthesis compiling the information given in a variety of sources to support their original ideas.
The students also took time in their novel groups to discuss the journals as well as the expectations for annotations (the key to understanding the book or a retake on a quiz).
