Today the students took the ACHIEVE 3000 Level Set to see if their Lexile Scores (Reading Levels) have improved. To help increase their Reading Comprehension as we move towards the FSA Exam in April the students will be using this program frequently, please see the ACHIEVE Link above for more details on Home Learning and Enrichment Assignments.
Additionally the students began planning their 1st Argumentation Essay based on the topics discussed in the In Class Debates in December. If the student was absent they need to complete the following:
- For this WRITTEN argument you will be using the notes & topics from the Debate Day, however you MUST pick an ALTERNATIVE topic from yours.
- Today you will PLAN the Essay
- Intro Paragraph, Gen details
- 2 Paragraphs FOR the Topic
- 2 Paragraphs AGAINST the Topic
- In the Conclusion you will discuss your final side.
