Today the students brought in their actual source material for review and verification along with their Annotated Bibliography. This review of sources helps to verify student access (having the books) and engagement with the sources (annotations) to ensure that they students are preparing for the writing of the Outline (Due 1/20) and the drafts of the Research Paper.
Additionally, the students completed the Achieve 3000 Level Set to track their improvement to their Lexile Scores (Reading Levels). Many students showed fantastic growth, the expectation is approximately 50 pts. per Qtr. To ensure the success of students on the AP and SAT Exams, in the 3rd & 4th Quarter they will be completing 1 HW Article per week (88% expectation), students may select article topics of their choice from the “My Lessons” tab and make sure that they are completing up to the Thought Question (5-8 sentences).
