AP Lang-Today they viewed the CNN Student News to get a glimpse of the VP Debate last night as they previously viewed the Presidential Debate last week. Additionally they viewed a discussion as to the highlights of the debate and then they reflected as to:
- If they could vote in the election this year, would they?
- How would they vote & WHY (Specific examples & evidence)
- Decide if negative campaigning works, would it sway your vote?
Additionally, they organized their interactive notebooks in preparation for a 2nd NB check next week and then we reviewed through the AP 2008 Prompt “America Needs Nerds”:
From the In class discussion the students are to write ONE Analytical paragraph addressing 2 ways (devices) that Fridman creates his argument, due next class.

English 3 Honors-Today we started the class looking at the concept of the “One Story” of a culture as shown in the following Ted Talk:
Students then reviewed through the M6ET Paragraph structure and will be answering the following prompt over the weekend:
- “What might people think is your ‘One Story’ & what should they know to get the TRUE PERSPECTIVE?”
HL-Student should continue their reading and Journaling of Boy Who Harnessed the Wind in Preparation for the writing assessment test on BWHTW Part 3 paragraph response.
AICE GP-Full Review today of the Genre Fan Fair (SEE GP LINK FOR REMINDERS) as well as the AICE October 2016 calendar. We also discussed at length the SHIELD PROJECT, See TOAFK Link for additional details, they also completed the CONNOTATION & DENOATION In class Lit Cards. Due the the Inclement Weather the Lit Cards & Safety Net due to Turnitin.com will be extend to Monday @11:59pm IF the power goes out.
