AP Lang-Today the students completed their group analysis of the “Cost of College” Synthesis Prompt in preparation for sompleting thier 1st Independent Sythesis Essay writing on Monday. If you are NOT GOING TO BE HERE ON MONDAY, you MUST see me Friday after school to complete this writing assessment. Additionally, students were given a handout for a proper Thesis Statement, this should be the next page in the SYNTHESIS Section of their Spiral, please see Tuesday’s blog for the images & organization. Columbine Journals were checked as well as annotations reviewed. If students were UNPREPARED they must come after school on Tuesday 11/29 to take the make-up Quotes Quiz.

- Made sure there are VALID Sources (not .com or .org unless they are NEWS sources like CNN.COM or NPR.ORG)
- Checked there is a potential Image/Graph/Political Cartoon for this topic
- then don’t pick it as EVERYONE has a different topic and once they are selected there is no switching of the topic!
English 3 Honors: Today they submitted their Achieve 3000 Trackers, EVERY TUESDAY at least 1 article @88% on the 1st try is due WITH the Thought Question. They almost finished reading in ACT I of “A Raisin in the Sun”, they need to finish the last 2 pages at home as well as the questions for Act 1 will have a final check off on Friday.

AICE GP-Today they tracked their ACHIEVE 3000 scores, submitted their BWHTW Journals & annotated novels for review as well as completed the Part 1/2 Socratic Seminar for the novel. They picked up the Review unit for Vocab 1-3 and the 1st quiz will be 12/2.
