**Sorry for the late posts, no internet at all at school today!**
AP Lang-Today they completed their mid term exam, items have been graded and will be updated to the portal on Monday.
Synthesis Packet continues-All of the 1st sources have been passed back with notes, you guys are rocking this! Such an amazing class, I am very excited to see where you guys go with these research papers! Remember for the 2nd set of sources there are a total of 4:
- 1 image (Political cartoon, chart, graph, photo, painting)
- 3 Additional Sources (book/web, just make sure they are VALID sources and that you have balance to both sides of the argument when you add these to the original 3).
**If you bring these in on TUESDAY I will be happy to look over them BEFORE they go in for a grade and the Final Edited Packet is Due Thursday.**
Frankenstein-Please bring your novel to class Tuesday, we will discuss reading schedule and the project with this novel. The following is the 1st journal, this is more of a “Thought Journal” as pre-reading for each section, please respond to this before you read:
- How do you define personal responsibility?
- When something bad happens that involves you, how do you know whether or not you bear some responsibility for it? Discuss Evaluate these situations. In each case, discuss whether person B has a responsibility to person A.
- A falls off B’s roof while mending it.
- B walks by A, who is homeless and begging on the street.
- B lends A his car, which has faulty brakes, and A has an accident.
English 3 Honors-Today they completed their exams as well as submitted their Rough Drafts for the Economics-in-America-essay, grade portal has been updated to reflect this COMPLETION ONLY assignment. Final copies are due Thursday 12/22, we will have the Gatsby 5-9 Quiz next class (notes required Tuesday-INDIVIDUALLY per Chapter-if they want to do a retake on 12/22 after school). After the quiz students will have additional time to revise their essays.
AICE GP 8B-Today they submitted their Lit HW Card, completed the in class Allusion Card and the Tale of Two Cities Quiz 1. Packet 2 will be distributed next class and they will have time to meet with their groups for the Cultural Project after the Exam on Tuesday.
