Day 141-More Essay Writing!

exigenceAP Lang-Today we had a bit of impromptu Argument Review, students need to be SPECIFIC and CONCRETE in their details as they are planning their Essays to be able to address the EXIGENCE of the topic at hand. They need to have references to:

  • The Pro & Con of the Argument
  • The Past & the Present of the Issues
  • The National & International Scope of the Statement

To help with planning these essays and to give them SCOPE, each student has been select to do basic research on 10 Names/Places of Significance. English 3 HonorsSAT Writing #2, really delving into the passage, WHY does the writer write what they are writing and WHAT do they want from their audience (what’s their purpose)?

AICE GP 8B-Double Day Essay Writing, this is to help prepare the students for the timing on the Day of the GP, little less than 2 weeks away! Many have asked how to study for the exam as topics are so broad, I suggest the follow:

  1. Vocabulary! Having those vivid illustrations that flow seamlessly in your writing is a great way to ramp up the conventions side of the rubric.
  2. Current Events-Know what’s going on Globally, CNN News or the UpFront Link
