Day 8-Achieve 3000 & Babylon Rotations

AP Lang-Today we reviewed through the Outliers Extended Reflection Questions students are reminded to pick questions that will show reading THROUGHOUT the text, and can download their MLA Template from Turnitin.com to:

  1. Copy and Paste the Questions they will be answering.
    • Complete their answer “using specific details from the text” (Reed 2) and to cite the Author Last name and Pg number where they found their quote.  100-250 words is the expectation for these questions.
  2. This can be completed in an outline format like this
    • Just be sure to keep the number of the questions as you go.

REMEMBER!!! Due NO LATER THAN 7:30am Friday, if you are in the peprally be sure to upload BEFORE you go! If you miss class, please see me to make up the Socratic Seminar on Tues 8/29 after school.

Also, they completed their ACHIEVE 3000 Level sets and we reviewed the “Who am I?” Project that is due on Tuesday next week.

38169English 3  & Honors-Students that missed class on Monday completed the items missed (ACHIEVE 3000 Level set, Alas, Babylon Quiz, Notebook Set-up), the remaining students started the Alas, Babylon Rotations (handout HERE: Alas Babylon in class rotations:

  1. Achieve Level Set Lexile Recording (look at the Career Center on Achieve)
  2. Alas Babylon article
  3. Character Chart Alas Babylon Rotations
  4. Sinking Ship- Alas Babylon Rotations

If you have not completed TWO Rotations BEYOND Achieve then you need to Pick 2 from the list above and complete them BEFORE CLASS on Friday.

Students that need to RE-TAKE or MAKE-UP the Alas, Babylon Test need to be READING!
