Day 160 (B)-Getting Caught up on the Speech Final

Thursday was a day of  getting students back on track that are falling behind on the Final Exam Project! I have Created Videos (Posted also to Teams) for EACH of the CURRENT STEPS!!

  1. Do they have an APPROVED Thesis??? This will be on Teams PK Questions Board, they will have a GIF under their APPROVED Thesis.
    • Thesis Reminders:
      1. Be sure that you have
        • a SPECIFIC AUDIENCE (Like Congress, City Council, American Medical Association, etc)-Who ever can FIX your Problem, IT IS A TITLE/Organization that requires a CAPITAL Letter! (Vague Groups= 🙁)
        • a SPECIFIC PROVABLE ITEM (Funding, legislation, a contract, award) -Cannot be a “see, think, feel” you can’t PROVE those.
        • Make it more URGENT, “should” doesn’t require anyone to do anything….must….require….mandate….etc
        Some APPROVED Examples:
        • Even though it may cause health problems to humans and the environment, Congress must legalize chemical and biological weapons in warfare because they are an asset to winning wars and help our country gain power, thus posing as a large threat to fend off other countries.
        • Even though animated shows and films of the past gave bad impressions of cultures due to racism, The American Film Association must set a national guideline for proper representation because it gives viewers genuine insights into cultures different then their own, provides fantastical entertainment while remaining relatable to ethnic audiences, and provides a gateway for other people to enter and participate in these new cultures in a respectful way.
        • Although fire graduation may decrease due to the harder program the Fire Chief needs to change the firefighter requirements for all firemen to be paramedics because it will not only save the city money but also help new recruits to be more medically trained and efficient on critical calls.
