  • Checking In with Students on WHERE THEY SHOULD BE IN THE PROJECT!! FINAL BOOKS DUE NEXT WEEK!
    • Today should have had them adding the Color and Image to their Book Covers: Finishing the Book Cover
      1. Decide what COLOR you want your book to be
      2. Select that color of tissue paper and use a GLUE STICK to attach it to your shell
         1. I recommend doing one side at a time, smoothing it out as you go
         2. flip book over and glue on the back
         3. then wrap in and glue the edges as we did with the White Construction paper (tape as needed)
      3. Attach your Front Cover Illustration (Remember that all text needs to be TYPED-Could be Letter Stickers or Printed)
      4. To “Laminate” your Cover use CLEAR Packing Tape
         1. Go from the Spine Out towards each edge (Recommend starting on the back)
         2. Do a FULL Line of Tape going top to bottom on the Book, go over the edges enough to wrap around
         3. Smooth any bubbles out of each strip as you go
         4. The last strip on each side should wrap the outer edges
