Today the students reviewed several recent issues of Upfront Magazine in class today to help prepare for the Synthesis essay prompt, as many topics for that essay are pulled from the headlines. Additionally, in the Argument Essays it is recommended that the students include current news items as support for their writing.
Planning for their Speech Presentations were due today, some students needed revision so I am linking the planner again here: pechakuchaplanner. They practiced presenting in front of the class today with articles from the UpFront Magazine. They should be working on the PPT or Prezi Presentations for a MONDAY REVIEW of them.
