AICE GP-Today the students viewed the CNN Student news, please be sure to keep up with current WORLD events! Also Vocab 8 HW was submitted along with the completion of the argument essay (see post from yesterday).
**Lit Cards! Many are struggling with the following cards (note, ALL of these are in A Tale of Two Cities!!-Hint, hint):
- Analogy-deeper form of metaphor, comparing something that is common to describe something else….our “Honest Tradesman” might try to cover up his “hobby” by describing it with an analogy
- Allegory-hardest card to find, much like how it is to describe ABSTRACT things like love, hate, Death, Fate….(get the hint???)
- Motif-it something that repeats over, and over, and over, and over again…you have to see it from the beginning to the END (HINT!!DON’T Do this card yet!!)
- Sarcasm-If you are despearate to go back to Of Mice & Men, go there for this device, even though it is in ATTC Too! 🙂

English 3 Honors-Submission of Vocab 8 HW today, many people are missing out on these easy points! We also discussed in THOROUGH detail the Dystopian Novel Project, Contracts due next class, each novel will be groups of FOUR, once the novel is signed out then you will need to have an alternative.
