AP Lang-Another Proud day, EVERY PAPER WAS TURNED IN!!! I Love this Class!!!
In class today we started a bit of work on Satire, watched the SNL Commercial “Me Harmony” and Weird Al’s “Don’t Download this Song” to get into a discussion as to how we have Satire all around us and how it influences our understanding of the Author’s Purpose. Over the Weekend students will be reading Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” (Linked HERE) and in the Lang Books they took home (pg. 404-412). They will then be writing a Business Letter, after they fill out the PLANNING SHEET Take home letter writing Quiz-Modest-Proposal:

English 3 Honors-Today they completed the 2nd packet of the new SAT, taking notes as they went to really be able to see how they were interacting with the test:
Additionally, they put together a Foldable for their Dystopian Novel Study Journals to help with understanding the Fig. Lang that is the basis of the Journal Grades (1/2 Way point next week):
