AICE GP-Today we completed the SATIRE & Parody Lit Cards in class; discussion of how Satire is used for typically Political change versus Parody which focuses on the humor of the situation:
Additionally the students were able to spend time analyzing their Sonnets, looking for:
- Vocabulary (Please define the words & highlight)
- Figurative Language (Please highlight in an alternative color from the Vocab)
- Circle the current punctuation (in Red)
- Please put a / for any thought/pause breaks that you feel pact the meaning of the piece (in Red)
- Add in Up arrows for any lighter/positive tones, add in a Down Arrow for any low tone/negative Inflections (in Red)
- Complete the Paraphrasing of the Sonnect
- Complete the SOAPSTone for the Sonnet
- They were able to look through my art books for pieces of Classical art.

English 3 Honors-Today we took time to review the Figurative Language that is the PRIMARY Foundation for the Grade on the Dystopian Novel Journals (due next class-do NOT be absent!)
Students are reminded:
- To List the Device: “before the quote”(add the PG #) and then AFTER THAT have the ANALYSIS of the device, for Example:
