As we continue to prepare for College Essays, this week we will be looking through short memoirs so you can see the type of “Day in the Life” Moments that Colleges are looking for. Even if you are not applying to traditional colleges, many jobs ask similar questions during interviews.

3. WRITING: Complete the following set of Questions on the Memoir Analysis-Both Memoirs to help Analyze the Author’s Intents and Purposes. 
4. VOCABULARY: For the following List of Vocabulary Words you can either
   • Creative Story: Week 7 Vocabulary Creative Story (Change Week # in Title)-Be Sure to BOLD OR HIGHLIGHT the Vocab Words
   • Vocabulary Chart:Vocabulary Log with 10 Slots (Be sure to have ORIGINAL SENTENCES!!)
     • Words of the Week
       • Vivid- distinct; bright; clearly perceptible
       • Fraternity- group of men sharing a common interest
       • Credentials- personal achievements and qualifications
       • Terrain- ground or landscape
       • Levitate- to float or rise into the air

       • Resonance- the ability to cause an emotional reaction
       • Lucid- thinking clearly
