Not This..
This is a Pecha Kucha…
The goal for using the Pecha Kucha format is to curb (1) boredom by PowerPoint and (2) the inclination to adhere strictly to what is written solely on the screen. It will also create for more creativity in the presentation itself.
- Follows the Pecha Kucha format:
- MUST have exactly 20 slides
- One image on each slide
- Find things addressed in the topic/argument
- About 20 seconds per slide
- Slides move on automatically (No need to constantly hit buttons)
- Total time of about 6 minutes 40 seconds
- No more than 6 words per slide only to help
- No shorter than a 30 point font
For more information on the Pecha Kucha style of PowerPoint presentation read the following article at http://chronicle.com/blogPost/Challenging-the-Presentation/22807/.
